Summary | 0001165: Drop Database while connected to it causes crash
Description | After deleting a table by selecting it in the enterprise manager, then selecting the schema (so the red X appears in the tool bar of the manager) when deleting the table this is what happens - Access violation at address 0057DCE4 in module 'DBW5Pro.exe'. Read of address D88BFC55
Steps To Reproduce | Created a table from another tool so it was in the DB already. When I went to delete it via the enterprise manager it tossed an exception. Recreated the table (again from other tool) and then dropped with the enterprise manager same thing. Have not tried other tables.

This seems to require more info -- Here's what I have done: - connect to database - expand "Tables" - select table - click "Drop Table", confirm drop No error. |

Just got back to work on this, and I see the problem, I have described this as deleting a table, but what I mean was deleting a Database! So the process is connect to a MySQL database (Linux via ssh) then drop a database (or is it called a schema in DBWB). This will result in the above error. It's NOT a table drop, that seems to be OK. |
|
Does this only happen to you when connected via SSH and while you are connected to the database? |

I don't have any other way to connect to the linux instance of MySQL so can't try it another way. I don't have a local MySQL running on my windows machine to test with it. Any other ideas? |
